Your Child's First Appointment

We’ll first have a consultation with you to discuss any immediate issues and do a quick exam of your child’s teeth and gums. We’ll also give your child a cleaning, fluoride treatment, and sealants, as needed.

We value educating our young patients and parents about their oral health, with information on proper oral hygiene techniques.

If our team discovers any dental problems, we’ll create a customized treatment plan to address all your child’s needs.

FAQ

  • At what age should my child first see a dentist?

We recommend scheduling their first visit by age one or when the first tooth appears, whichever comes first.

  • How can I prepare my child for their first dental visit?

Prepare your child for their first dental visit by explaining what to expect, reading fun dental books, staying positive, and scheduling a friendly, low-stress appointment with our team.

  • Are crowded or crooked teeth normal in children?

Crowded or crooked teeth are common in children as baby teeth fall out and adult teeth develop. Regular dental checkups help monitor development and determine if orthodontic treatment is needed.
