How Does Teeth Whitening Work?

If you’re looking to brighten your smile, we’re happy to answer any questions and share more information on our teeth whitening options.

With in-office teeth whitening, a high-concentration bleaching gel is applied to the targeted teeth. When activated by a special light, the gel removes stains on the surface of your teeth. Patients typically see immediate, noticeable results in just one treatment—increasing their teeth’s whitening by a shade or several shades.

With take-home whitening, we provide a set of trays that you can use at your convenience. You fill the trays with professional-grade whitening gel and wear them daily, usually for 30 minutes to a few hours. Within one to two weeks, the gel will increase the brightness of your smile.
